Detailed information about the event
DATE
The actual event takes place from Friday morning to Sunday lunchtime. You can arrive on Thursday night until 2 am. It is also possible to arrive on Friday morning until 10 am, though we would prefer if as many players as possible arrive on Thursday to avoid delays. The workshops are compulsory - if you miss them, you cannot take part in the game.
On Sunday morning after breakfast we all tidy up together. Of course you can leave earlier if there is no other option, but please plan this time if possible - an hour of tidying up with 30 people can save us days of work.
COSTS
The price for a standard ticket is 300 €.
There are two other ticket types that differ only in price from the standard ticket: For each purchased supporter ticket (450€) we offer a subsidized ticket (150€) This allows people who can pay a higher price to support those who cannot afford a standard ticket. Anyone who would like to make a contribution but cannot afford a full supporter ticket can also contribute any smaller amount.
The ticket price includes the game, overnight accommodation from Thursday to Sunday on camping beds with your own sleeping bag, all meals from breakfast on Friday to breakfast on Sunday as well as water, coffee and tea.
You can find our cancellation policy here.
Not included
- Dinner on Thursday and lunch on Sunday
- Softdrinks
- Sleeping bag/bed linen

- Travel, ... the obvious :)
LOCATION & TRAVEL
AREA E® Sport-und Freizeitgelände,
Dillstr. 1,
57339 Erndtebrück
The location is a bit remote but decently accessible by public transport. It is roughly 2 hours by car or 3 hours by train from both Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. The nearest train stop is Erndtebrück; from there it is a 5-minute drive to the location - we will help you organise car pools or pick you up if necessary. If you choose to travel by train internationally instead of flying, we are happy to help you find the best connection and navigate the German train system.
The comfort level is very basic. The location is old and in some places somewhat run-down. You will sleep off-game on camping beds or on your own bedding in heated communal rooms (there are also a few beds with foam mattresses if necessary for health reasons). The play area is cold - about 8 degrees. We will heat the main hangout space and the safety room, but even there it will be below room temperature! You can find more details about the conditions in the accessability section
You can find more information about the location and impressions here.
COSTUMES
A good stylistic inspiration is a low-tech sci-fi noir aesthetic: the costumes can be retro - combined with modern or futuristic elements. It's not about a specific historical era, but about the feeling. Please note that the style is rather dark, worn and gritty - so please avoid hippies, neon colours, silver spandex overalls and LEDs! If you want to incorporate symbolic and surreal aspects into your costume that represent your character and their themes, that is also very welcome.
Overall, you have a lot of freedom and few requirements when it comes to costumes. The focus is on the expression of the character and a contribution to the atmosphere - not on plausibility, consistency or accuracy. Accordingly, everything is welcome, from gloomy everyday clothes that match the character to 60s sci-fi or completely absurd dream elements. Two things are not allowed: Firstly, purely white clothing, since this colour is reserved for the AI. And secondly, self-luminous costume elements, as they disrupt the play with light, darkness and visibility.
The most important quality your costume must fulfil: It must be warm and practical! It's best to work with layers to avoid sweating and to make the transition between heated and unheated spaces easier. Warm underwear is highly recommended, as are hats and gloves. When in doubt, practical is more important than pretty - you want to be able to walk through the bunker in this costume, perform physical activities and crawl into dirty hiding places. Please do not wear shoes with (significant) heels, especially if the heels are narrow.
SCHEDULE
SIGNUP & CASTING
Sign-up is open until 31 March at 23:59. It doesn't matter when during this period you sign up. After the deadline, we will send a list of those who signed up and you will have the opportunity to let us know if there is anyone you don't want to play with under any circumstances or who you don't think is safe to have at the larp at all. After that, we will allocate the spots. If there are more registrations than spots, they will be assigned by a mixture of lottery, casting based on to play interests and group dynamics, and a few reserved places (for friends, helpers and people we would simply like to have there).
In summer, we will publish short teasers for all characters, together with a casting questionnaire. Casting will be done by character selection. You will then receive your character teaser - together with a player's guide that goes into more detail about the mechanics and special features of the game. You will receive the finished character around two months before the game.
Player selection and casting are based on vision and play interests, not off-game criteria. Appearance, age, gender or physicality do not play a role, larp experience only to the extent that we try to put together a diverse group of players. However, we will look at previous experience for characters with strong game responsibilities.
